FNG has contracted for a wide variety of long-term firm transportation and storage assets to serve customers throughout the Southeast. With those assets, we have established ourselves as a competitive resource in the marketplace and a long-term partner for energy consumers. FNG’s asset management team has developed a dynamic asset model to optimize transportation, storage and hedging programs.
FNG’s supply procurement group has established relationships with numerous producers and marketers using traditional production, storage and LNG to create a diversified, reliable supply portfolio. FNG’s transportation and scheduling group is well equipped and experienced to handle all natural gas transportation issues and provide a level of service that matches the best in the industry. Florida Natural Gas offers the following services for its large commercial and industrial customers:
Firm and Interruptible Service
We offer both firm and interruptible service to provide you with the ability to select the type of service that’s right for your needs. If your business depends on a steady supply of natural gas, we offer firm service. If you have a back-up system that allows you the flexibility of burning natural gas or alternative fuel depending on economic conditions, we offer interruptible service.
Asset Management Service
We offer a diverse supply in both pipeline transportation and storage services. We have contracts in place and purchase from multiple LNG suppliers. We also provide forecasting and scheduling, as well as capacity and inventory management.
Purchasing and Transportation
If you have your own storage facilities, we can help you purchase, transport and manage your natural assets. In addition to FNG having contracts with and purchasing from multiple LNG suppliers, SouthStar Energy Services also conducts business with more than 30 wholesale suppliers for physical natural gas deliveries, including seven of the top 10 suppliers.
Balancing Service
As one of the largest natural gas retailers in the Southeast, SouthStar Energy Services manages imbalances to avoid costly pipeline cash-outs. We are responsible for monthly and daily forecasting and balancing.
Financial and Physical Hedging Strategies
We prepare for potential swings in price and supply availability by locking in low wholesale prices whenever possible. As a result, our customers have the ability to hedge natural gas to reduce potential risks in the marketplace.
